Justice Minister, Chris Grayling, was called to give
evidence by the Justice Select Committee on the 4th December, on his ‘Transforming
Rehabilitation programme’ and plans to privatise up to 70% of the probation
service. He stated on five occasions that his transformation agenda was all
about ‘evolution’ not ‘revolution’.
If the so called Transforming Rehabilitation is MP Grayling’s idea of Evolution, I wouldn’t
want to experience his idea of Revolution because the Chaos of his plans are hitting Probation staff hard
and give serious risk to the Public
Evolution’ not ‘revolution’ is just more Government
disinformation, I reckon
Here's a bit more from David Cameron, "I want to, if
I'm elected to take the whole country with me. I don't want to leave anyone
behind. The test of a good society is you look after the elderly, the frail,
the vulnerable, the poorest in our society. And that test is even more
important in difficult times, when difficult decisions have to be taken, than
it is in better times (2 May 2010).
I'm heartened by Harry Fletcher’s words on the 4th
of December, "There's still everything to play for".
Finally, When looking at this Government, I like these works
of Tony Benn,
- What power have you got ?
- Where did you get it from?
- In whose interest do you
exercise it?
- To whom are you
accountable?
- How can we get rid of you
Only democracy gives us that right, and that is why I am not
gagged. That is why no-one in power
likes democracy - and that is why every generation must struggle to win it
and keep it. Including you and me - here and now.
