Up And Down We Go

Most of us we get to where we are through hard work. Many of us know also to hit rock bottom. We learn what we need to learn and then pick ourselves back up again.

Life always has its ups and downs and that's no different for 2014. Here's a few ups and downs:

Prices Up

We all want to  wake up and feel optimistic about the year.

But it's not so easy for some, especially with rising prices and increased cost of living.

Now the cost of living up 2.1%. FTSE 100 index up 14%!   http://t.co/vmgQWIeo9v

Wages Down

Wages have fallen more in real terms in the current economic downturn than ever before.

One person points out that, "The shrinking pay packet... during this recession is unprecedented".
And another person points out that people's wages have fallen on average by over £1,300 a year since the coalition came to power.

Are Rich and Poor all in this together?

Wages Up

"Britain isn’t eating" says the hugely popular picture, as ordinary people get squeezed by the coalition government, and line up in queues for food banks.

Now it seems that MP’s are queuing up for increases from gravy train of the nation’s tax funds with an whopping 11% wage rise!

Popularity Down

The London Evening standard has said that the membership of Conservative Party has halved under David Cameron's leadership http://t.co/ymtreq9ooX

And my colleague pointed out, besides the rich, who the heck would want to be in the remaining half!

Now, not even half the Tories want to be Tories!

And Up and Down We Continue.
